All bands must perform in their band uniform for the recording of their videos.
Recording of each video will be after Jan 1 2021, with no editing of the sound track.
With each video submitted, the band must provide a declaration that states, “All players appearing in that video are regular playing members of that band and are registered members of the relevant State Governing Body.”
Each band shall submit their video recordings along with:
- a PDF of the score with ALL BARS NUMBERED,
- the above player declaration, and
- a copy of synchronisation approval (see Synchronisation Rights).
Bands should ensure that their videos are of suitable quality for an effective adjudication and online publication. Bands can record their videos in the band room or similar venue, or of in a virtual environment such as with Zoom or similar.
We would encourage bands to record their videos at 720p with audio at 256kps in an MP4 format. Whilst many other options are available, these specifications are the recommended quality for our purposes and ease of upload.
We know from experience that most files should be less than 1 GB. However, some Major Own Choice pieces could exceed this size. If so, please do not use the upload box and contact email@example.com for further instructions.
Submissions of videos and music scores will be via the video and file upload box below between Feb 13, 2021, and Mar 12, 2021.
ANOFOB will not be accepting submissions of late entries.
All performance videos will be available for bands to view on the BANSW YouTube Channel.
