It is with great excitement that we welcome you to the 2027 Yamaha Australian National Band Championships, Australia's premier celebration of community banding. We look forward to welcoming bands, musicians, officials, volunteers and supporters from across Australia, New Zealand and beyond to our nation's capital for an unforgettable Easter of music, friendship and competition.
The 2027 Championships mark a special milestone as the event returns to Canberra for the first time since 1984. It is a privilege to once again bring Australia's finest community bands together in the heart of the nation, celebrating not only musical excellence, but also the rich tradition and enduring spirit of community banding that has connected generations of musicians.
Hosted at Canberra Grammar School, with performances across the outstanding Snow Concert Hall and Tim Murray Theatre, competitors and audiences will enjoy first-class facilities designed to showcase the very best of Australian banding.
Whether you are a seasoned National Championships competitor or attending for the first time, we extend a warm welcome to you. Your commitment, countless hours of rehearsal, and passion for community music are what make these Championships such a remarkable event. We look forward to inspiring performances, spirited competition, lasting friendships and memories that will stay with you long after the final notes have been played.
